Module 12 - The Solar System - WWW links
There is a lot of excellent revision material on the web on
the Earth, space, the Moon, stars and galaxies etc. Here are
a few of the best sites.
-
-
- The
BBC Space site features a 3D tour of the solar system and
loads of information on the planets, the Moon and space travel.
- Phases
of the moon allows you to examine how the appearance of the
moon changes as it orbits Earth. For the best effect select 'both'
as the view. Enter a value of 0.5 for a new moon, 0.25 or 0.75
for a half moon and other values between 0 and 1 for gibbous or
crescent moons - experiment and see if you can predict what the
moon will look like for different values.
- The Planets
gives you lots of information about the different planets and
some excellent photos from the visiting probes.
- BBC
Key Stage 3 Bite Size - the Earth and Beyond is a high class
revision site with all of the important information that you need.
Don't forget to try our multiple choice quiz
on the topic!
